Bloom Power Coffee

Do you enjoy a slow cuppa coffee?

Yes, me also! But there are days when I don’t have that luxury, so I need to take it with me when I’m ready to get out of the door! Whether you’re having your morning coffee at home, at your desk or on the go, I have a feeling you’ll like this Bloom Power Coffee recipe!

This cup is packed with some creaminess, adaptogens, caramel taste and frothy top! I usually like my coffee strong and like to still taste it, but if you like it milky, adjust the milk/water proportions.

Adding a little bit of coconut or MCT oil will make it creamier and add extra healthy fats, which will keep you feeling satiated. I found that oat milk or cashew milk work best (more creamy/ frothy), but almond does the job also! 🤟🏻

Here’s the quick recipe, enjoy the coffee taste and the health benefits!

Note:

  • Adaptogens are herbal pharmaceuticals; they work to counteract the effects of stress in our bodies; medicinal mushrooms are example of great adaptogens.

  • Maca powder is a root of maca plant and is considered a superfood. It’s full of vitamins and minerals (e.g. vit C, iron or potassium), contains protein, protein and is a great source of antioxidants. It is best known for improving mood, boosting energy and increasing libido!

Ingredients

+ 200ml brewed strong coffee (use your usual coffee- if espresso, make it a double and top up with hot water) (~2/3 cups)

+ 50-60 ml of plantbased milk (1/4 cup)

+ 1 tsp of medicinal mushrooms of choice (I use Chaga or Cordyceps)

+ 1 tsp of Maca powder

+ 1/4 tsp of coconut/ mct oil

+ dash of cinnamon 

Method

Put it all in a blender for 5-10 seconds until the foam forms and all ingredients are mixed well. Pour it to your favorite mug and enjoy immediately!
